Elizabeth Chesebrough

Elizabeth is in her second year of an Earth and Environmental Science PhD program at the CUNY Graduate Center. She is also a first year College Now Fellow. Here research interests involve water and watershed management with a focus on conservation. She is working out of Lehman College, and is studying the Long Island Aquifer and how climate change and population growth will affect the available water in conjunction with quantifying the reduction in demand resulting from different conservation effort. She is working with Randi Zimmerman at Legacy High School in a Regents based Earth Science course. Eventually she hopes to put together an ARM that combines the science behind water management with conservation efforts to better illustrate the relationship between science and policy.
